The Only Person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be – Ralph Waldo Emerson
WOW!!!! This one hits home! Several years ago, I went through a tough position, both personally and professionally. This affected me in every aspect of my life. In my mind, I felt that were time that I did not want to get out of bed. I, honestly, felt sorry for myself.
Then, I had a moment of clarity. Did I want to be that person who resigned himself as a failure in life? Someone whom would be dependent on others? There was a resounding NO!!!!! I wanted and needed to have success in my life.
However, this was NOT going to happen all at once. This is a quite a tough concept for me to grasp since I am not the most patient guy. I needed to take pragmatic steps for this success to become reality. First: Get out of bed. Second: Visualize where I want to be in my life. Third: Set the simple/complex, daily/monthly/annual goals on paper. Forth: Accomplish them and set the world on fire.
Are there circumstances that are inhibiting you to get out of your funk? Do you need the inspiration to get out of bed? Are you SO paralyzed with FEAR that it results in NOT accomplishing anything during the course of a day?
Take the time to visualize where you are, where you want to be and set the goals to succeed in that journey to success. You WILL be surprised where it takes you.
